After much thought and consideration I have decided to resign from my position as Executive Director. The association needs an executive director that can accomplish the plans and goals in the direction the board wants to pursue. It has been a pleasure to work with you…the dedicated and awesome member drillers, pump installers and the most honest helpful associates that I have had the pleasure to work with. Together we have grown the association to record membership and convention vendors. Providing all of you with your needed continuing education classes, growing the scholarship fund and all the information provided at the convention has been nothing but pure satisfaction for me. I WILL MISS ALL OF YOU. Thank you all for allowing me to work for you the past 11 years.
The board will be hiring a new exec in the very near future. Please look for a newsletter or on the web at www.wywaterwell.org for the future address of the office and new email address.
I must also let you know that very long time board member from Area III, Don Scogin, Thermopolis, has resigned. Don was an active board member who was instrumental and credited with the idea of using the auction monies to start a scholarship fund. Don sat on the scholarship committee for many years using his knowledge to help select the deserving students. The next time you see Don give him a high five and thank him for his many years of service. His dedication, spirit and tenacity will be sorely missed as a board member.
This opens up a position on the board for someone from the West-Central counties of Natrona, Big Horn, Fremont, Park, Hot Springs or Washakie. Please submit your name if you are interested in serving on the board. You would be appointed to fill in until the 2016 convention at which time you would be placed on the ballot for possible election at the 2016 convention.
By now those of you that receive email information have had an opportunity to read a monthly safety email produced by VolkBell Property & Casualty Insurance. We have partnered with VolkBell to bring you this safety email as an added benefit to your membership in the Wyoming Water Well Association. I encourage you to DOWNLOAD the pages and use them as you see fit for the success of your company.
Those of you that are waiting for the continuing education class titled “Electrical Code Book…How to look up and use it’ regrettably has been cancelled. The State Fire Marshall office will not have the time to provide this class until the January 2016 convention.
